I captured David&Vanessa’s engagement session about 7 months ago, and the last weekend proved to be a blast.
At six in the morning I stood outside Vanessa’s door and rang the doorbell, to be greeted by Vanessa’s parents and two cute dogs barking madly. She was in the guest room (her room and the rumpus upstairs taken over by her bridesmaids), makeup nearly done, and told me that she woke up at 3am because she was too excited to sleep. On the dining table was the flowers, the wedding invites, the shoes, and the rings, all ready to go. You could tell that this was one of those weddings that would go by clockwork. And it did.
After the door games, David took his guitar from the car, walked up the stairs, and serenaded. He went in for the first look. He surprised her with another song. Her eyes teared. And so did some of the others that peeped in.
I’ve been to quite a few weddings, but in the best possible sense, this must have been the happiest couple to get married – big bright smiles, and always-at-maximum-setting-can’t-contain-themselves excitement. David&Vanessa, I wish you two the best, and to the nice relaxing honeymoon coming up.
Pops (Vanessa’s dad), the dogs, and the massage chair.
Strange poses. All to be revealed…. soon.
Serenade no. 1.
Suprise serenade no. 2.
Ballara Receptions. Cloudy with a chance of excitement.
As part of the games, the groomsmen were supposed to perform yoga poses that make up the letters I L O V E Y O U. I’ll leave it to your imagination. 😉
Can’t stop laughing from the speeches.
Can’t stop laughing from the speeches, part 2.
Thanks to the team who made this wedding day amazing:
