Capturing Love & Other Stories Visually
I love stories. So much that when I was about 7 or 8 years old I thought I’d be a writer. And for a brief moment I was – I sat in front of an old typewriter trying to hash something out, and gave up after 30 minutes.
While I found out that I wasn’t a verbal storyteller, I found out that I could tell stories in different forms. My Asian-inspired upbringing got me into the piano, while hanging out at church and wanting to look cool in front of the girls brought me to love another instrument – the drums. Progressively I learnt how to tell stories in song, and how to arrange them so they would all fit in together.
I don’t know how exactly it happened, but when I purchased my first digital camera back in 2007, I fell in love with it and what it entails. I learnt how to see things differently, and how to use light to create visual stories. And now, here I am. Crafting and presenting visual stories. Chasing beauty, capturing love and other stories. Join me and let’s make stories together!
Warm, Natural & Editorial
I love capturing couples (well, not literally!) in happy warm golden sunlight. I used to like the term “photojournalistic”, although truthfully I do mix it up a bit with the formal and posed images. I find this works best for me, so right now I’m calling my style “editorial”, where I capture everything – for your story.
Melbourne Wedding Photographer
Best place to live, play and work. But.. if you have a destination in mind, I’m always open to new ideas and places. :)
Random Bits of Information
I love coffee, and KFC (I wonder why they don’t call it Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore).
I use Nikon, but that’s just my tool of preference for the moment.
I’m a tech geek. Love my iPhone and Mac, but still prefer working in Windows.
I bought my electronic drumkit after 10 years wishing for it.
I’m married. Wedding planning is stressful, and I wish you the best.
I would love to go back to Japan again.
