Autumn is here. And since last weekend, Daylight Saving Time ended and now the days are shorter, the nights longer and the temperature cooler. But, with every season, there’s always an opportunity for photography, and where the leaves on the trees turn a mixture of yellow, gold, brown and red, this is probably one of my more favourite seasons besides spring. Although ever since we moved down to the ‘burbs, I find that while I still love autumn leaves, I prefer them to be anywhere except my backyard.
This is my the tree that lies in my backyard. Notice the presence and the size of the leaves. Many, and relatively small.

This is my backyard. I actually ran it through my leaf blower and sucker 11 days ago.

I guess there’s no use thinking of ways to get rid of the tree, so we just make do and suck it up (pun intended) on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
Anyway, for my returning visitors, firstly, thanks for coming back, and I certainly appreciate the stats from Google Analytics (more on this later). In celebration of autumn, I’ve tweaked the site a bit to reflect the changing season.

Happy autumn!
